Donate to your local food pantry!

November 25th, 2008 - With the holiday season approaching and many families stretching paychecks to the full extent, the Silver Creek Fire Department's Woman's Auxiliary donated $500 to the Random Lake Area Interfaith Food Pantry.  The Silver Creek Woman's Auxiliary would like to thank all those that have supported them and their fundraising events.  They would like the public to know that they not only support their fire department, but also support the community as well.  If you would like to make a donation to the Random Lake Area Interfaith Food Pantry, the pantry is located in the Country Harbor II Apartments on Spring Street in Random Lake and is open on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30a.m.  Donations may also be dropped off at The Sounder office located at 405 Second Street in Random Lake.  Thanks to all and have a great Christmas Season!

  Tiger Cub Firefighters

Cub Scouts

November 18th, 2008 - Earlier last week the Silver Creek Fire Department was visited by an up and coming group of young men, the Tiger Cubs from Random Lake Cub Scout Pack 3863.  Den Leader Russell Allen brought the group of Scouts to the fire station to learn about Fire Prevention.  Under the guidance of Lieutenant firefighter Tony Hurley, the Scouts discussed the risks and hazards found inside and outside of every home.  After turning the "hazard" house into a "safe" house, the Scouts performed some hands on fire extinguisher training.  Each Scout was successfully able to extinguish a live fire using a small fire extinguisher.  A tour of the fire station ended the evening where the Scouts learned about various tools, equipment, and apparatus used by the Silver Creek Fire Department.  Check out the Gallery page for pictures!
